Deadly Apples was active from 2002 to 2011, releasing 2 EP's (''Metamorphosis Has Begun'' - 2005 and ''Infected'' - 2008), touring and playing festivals with bands such as Korn and Rob Zombie in Canada/USA, collaborating with Ministry/Puscifer's Paul Barker on remixes for ''Fix - The Ministry Movie'' and recording an as-of-yet unreleased full album in Nashville (''Petty'' - 2011), mixed by Vance Powell (Jack White, Arctic Monkeys), mastered by Bob Ludwig (Nirvana, Led Zeppelin) and featuring James 'Munky' Shaffer of Korn as guest guitarist.

On ''Petty'', Deadly Apples explored a more diverse experimental rock and electronic sound, moving away from its industrial metal roots. The band was known for chaotic live performances with an elaborate visual light show.

In 2011, Deadly Apples went on hiatus as frontman and founder Alex Martel focused on the rapid growth of his festival, Montebello Rockfest, which went on to become the largest rock festival in Canada. Drummer and main composer Antoine Lamothe focused on his film work, while long-time bassist Gabriel Maurice became a professionnal session player.

7 years after the band's last performance, Deadly Apples will reunite for one show at Montebello Rockfest 2017 on June 23rd right before Rammstein. A music video for ''Further'' will be released along with several tracks off the ''Petty'' album.
